Authorization: Resolution
No. 351, dated 9/7/99, authorizing the joint establishment
by the Cities of Battle Creek and Springfield of a Business
Improvement District (BID) along Dickman Road, and
authorizing the creation of a Business Improvement Board to
carry out certain statutory functions (pursuant to Public
Act 49 of the Public Acts of 1999).
Appointing Authority: City
Manager, confirmed by City Commission/City of
Springfield
Purpose: To undertake
functions, objectives, and powers enumerated in Section 1 of
Public Act 49 of the Public Acts of 1999, including the
promotion of economic activity in the BID along Dickman Road
and providing or contracting for the administration,
security, and operation of the District, to include physical
improvements and joint marketing.
Members: Nine
Terms: Three years, staggered
