Local Officers Compensation Commission

Authorization:    Ordinance 13-97, approved July 15, 1997, for the purpose of amending Title Eight, Boards, Commissions, Committees and Authorities, by the addition of Chapter 275, Local Officers’ Compensation Commission.                

Appointing Authority:    Mayor, confirmed by City Commission.          

Purpose:    To determine salaries of elected officials.

Terms:     Seven years, staggered            

Special Requirements:    Shall be registered electors of the City of Battle Creek and shall not be a member, or employee, of any branch of any government or the immediate family of a member or employee of any branch of any government.
