Created in accordance with Michigan Planning Enabling Act (PA 33 of 2008; as amended); and Part 12, Chapter 1202, of the City Codified Ordinances.

Appointing Authority
Mayor with approval of a majority vote of the City Commission.

(Nine)  Mayor appoints eight persons, seven of whom are members of the community, one of whom is a City Commissioner. The Mayor and City Commissioner are ex-officio members with full voting rights.

Meeting (Dates, Time & Location)
All meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, at 4:00 P.M. in City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 10 N. Division, Battle Creek.           
Note:  Meetings scheduled for the months of November and December are alternate dates to avoid a conflict with the holidays.  (Commission members voted in favor to move ahead one week for those months).

Please Note:  A monthly meeting may be canceled if no petitions and/or  applications have been received.
