Development & Submittal of
Applications for FY 2011 Transportation Funds to the
Michigan Department of Transportaion (MDOT)
Each year, the Michigan
Department of Transportation ( MDOT ) provides the
opportunity for eligible, qualified non-profit organizations
that serve senior citizens and persons with disabilities in
Calhoun County to apply for State funding to support their
transportation programs. Funds provided through the
Specialized Services program and the Elderly & Persons With
Disabilities (Section 5310) program support operating costs
and purchase costs of vehicles.
Battle Creek Transit will be hosting a workshop on
Wednesday, January 6, 2010 to provide information and
answer questions on these State programs, the application
process and timetable, and other program requirements. A
representative from MDOT will also be available to answer
questions.
The workshop will be held from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.n. at
Battle Creek Transit’s office. Battle Creek Transit’s office
is located at 339 West Michigan Avenue in Battle Creek.
